Please note we are not staffed as a 24/7 emergency hospital so please call the veterinarian on call before arriving and listen to the message.
We are available by phone 6-10pm Monday to Thursday, 12-6pm on Saturdays and 9am-6pm on Sundays. We are not available on Public Holidays. If you are calling outside of these hours or are unable to get in contact with the on-call veterinarian, we advise you contact the closest 24/7 staffed emergency hospitals in Canberra. These are dedicated emergency centres of excellence, for when you can’t wait till our next availability. They have nurses monitoring the patients throughout the night by their bedside, and vets at hand when you arrive. Because of their advanced equipment and specialist training they can cope with complex trauma, illnesses, surgery, envenomation, poisonings and resuscitation. They can also provide information for when it’s safe to wait till our next availability.

Please note that procedures out of hours will incur an after-hours veterinarian and nurse call in charge. If you have an unwell or injured pet it is ideal to see the veterinarian during the weekdays (8am-6pm) where possible as on Saturdays we have reduced staff and hours so may need to transfer your pet to the emergency hospital in Canberra.
Emergency Transfers
If required we or you are able to contact Pet Ambulance Services on 0448 789 039 for transfer of critical patients which need specialist 24-hour care to the Animal Referral hospital in Canberra or help you to organise owner transfer after stabilisation here.
